You Yankees. :)

I played in my first ever tourney last month, the first week of February. 45*F which doesn't sound too bad, but we had a 25 mph wind. I almost froze. We were the lead group and it took us 3 hours to play the FRONT nine. I swear I don't know why it took that long, since we played the back in under 2 hours. There's something to be said for having the Tourney Director yelling "Hurry up!" every 5 minutes.

Always good to read your blog.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11606874.post-90713709914437425942007-01-31T09:49:00.000-05:002007-01-31T09:49:00.000-05:00Glad you're back in action, JB. It can be used in so many different cases and ways.

Much like "Fcuk" (misspelled deliberately for fear that a filth filter is on and will edit it out - also, don't want to start swearing too hard on someone else's site). If you ever get the chance or can find it to download on the internet, check out the track "All-American Home Boy Crowd" by The Wildhearts (who are THE greatest band ever to walk on God's green Earth), just for the dissection of the F-bomb at the end. I can probably email you a copy of it if you want, as I have it on CD. Drop me a line, if you want it, and I can send it across no worries.

Jam Boy lives! Signs of life!
So good to hear from you...Jam Boy! Signs of life!

So good to hear from you again, old pal. I love your prediction of how February will turn out. It has been raining incessantly over here in England since October, it seems, but we've just had a couple of days of frost and everything is beautiful and almost spring-like now. It's too nice for January. As you say, something bad is almost bound to happen to bugger it all up.

I can't believe it was so cold that you had to drill a hole in the ground just to get a tee in. You can't play in those conditions. How did they control their approach shots on the green? It must have been like trying to play on a car park.

I must admit that I tend to talk quite a lot on the golf course (never about anything important or, some would say, remotely interesting). Mostly, it's just me shooting the breeze and relaxing with my friends and I do give them a bit of stick. I played with my buddy Steve the other week and I realised on the 12th hole that I had been calling him gay virtually incessantly for about 2 and a half hours so far, barely even pausing for breath, and giving him the most immense amount of clog. To his eternal credit, he had taken it all with a smile and just let it roll off his back, but I still felt the need to apologise. I always say that when I'm talking to someone, it means I like them, no matter what I'm actually saying. The more I like them, the more stick I give them. It's when I don't like people that I don't speak to them. There's one guy who joined our regular Saturday morning group of about a dozen or so, no-one knows how he got there or whether anyone invited him. No-one likes him and I've caught him cheating a number of times (playing off 21! Why does he need to?) The last time I got lumbered with him, I caught him "miscounting" twice on the front nine and on the 10th, my mate and I saw him, after driving into the rough, pick his ball up and throw it back towards the fairway. We walked off the course, rather than continue to play with him, but he doesn't take the hint and still turns up every week. What a wanker. I'm going to kick him in the nuts next time I see him. That'll learn 'im.

Damn, I've said too much again. Sorry for wasting your time. Anyway, good to hear from you again and I hope everything is going well with all your endeavours. Let's hope we hear from you soon.

Stay cool and keep yourself nice. All the best

DavidAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11606874.post-76114978955156193162007-01-29T03:18:00.000-05:002007-01-29T03:18:00.000-05:00I'd love to see a Garden Gnome taking the piss out...I'd love to see a Garden Gnome taking the piss out of someone, now that'd crack me upKiwihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16657561977804187718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11606874.post-1169849619460549782007-01-26T17:13:00.000-05:002007-01-26T17:13:00.000-05:00Thanks for the taste, Tom.
