I'm always so perturbed when the little buggers land under it and I swat them away and leave a stain I have to stare at for the rest of the round. Thanks!

-KristenGolfchickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15210647031286298869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11606874.post-27509129947418290262007-07-07T19:07:00.000-05:002007-07-07T19:07:00.000-05:00Absolutely fantastic piece Tom.I look forward to h...Absolutely fantastic piece Tom.

I look forward to hearing how things progress with the new course.Matthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10792863636186950576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11606874.post-4468696834175651342007-07-07T10:45:00.000-05:002007-07-07T10:45:00.000-05:00Don't think I've ever enjoyed reading a blog post ...Don't think I've ever enjoyed reading a blog post more! During his lesson to the ML people, he said something to the effect of: "Yeah, for years after the Open I perfected the pull hook. The tour didn't seem to like it and that's why I work for CBS now (a television broadcast station over here dave)." The crowd laughed pretty hard at that one. He's a funny guy.

He also told me he's trying to get his game back in shape for the senior tour...so keep an eye out for that.

And as far as writing my web address or wearing a special t-shirt during the tournament this weekend, I'll have to think about that. Some sort of subliminal advertising might be a fun idea. I'd love to get on the air, but I'll take just being in the box and listening to him for a few groups just to see what he says. Either way, I think I'm going to try and bring him a nice bottle of wine for the experience.Tom Collinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11022106971991560269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11606874.post-33507898930774770792007-07-03T08:00:00.000-05:002007-07-03T08:00:00.000-05:00EveningGreat stories, Tom. She strikes me as the dirty type. But it's funny, Natalie Gulbis & Paula Creamer and all that don't really do anything for me. I can't even distinguish between the pair of them. Apparently, Annika is getting quite broody at the moment and is even considering giving up the game to try and start a family. Maybe you could have offered to, uh, "take care of her" ... you know ... do her a favour right there and then. I'm sure the guys from ML wouldn't have minded - a free show at lunch would be fun for everyone, I would imagine. I know that I would, definitely, without any need to be asked twice. I reckon she could teach me a thing or two.

I told you another opportunity would arise for you to Caddie Master somewhere, sone day. Being as how you're clearly a (relatively) smart guy and this being much closer to home and you also have several years more experience under your belt, I'm sure this will go down fine. Although the challenges and difficulties are what make the job interesting sometimes - you just don't want too many of them.

IBF sounds cool. Whenever I think of him, I always remember the interview he gave after he won the Open over here and he had his little daughter on his lap, who thought the microphone they were using was an ice cream and tried to lick it. Doesn't he look a bit like Stephen Ames? But he sounds like a great guy to spend a couple of days with - really cool and laid back at the same time as being professional and knowing what he has to do to earn his money and what is expected of him in return. And it sounds like he still loves to play - I seem to remember that he went a bit wobbly after he won the Open for a bit and struggled to compete at the top level, which I would guess might impact your enjoyment of the game a little, but he sounds like he's all about enjoying himself and can still get it around the course in pro. figures. If you get to see him at the weekend, see if you can get yourself on air. We get the American feed over here on our sports channels and I'll certainly be looking out for him now. See if you can get yourself on camera and shout "Jam Boy Rules! Dave is gay!" I'd laugh. Write the web site address on your forehead or something or get a cap made up and give it to him to wear on camera - it's a winner. I'm just full of great ideas. It's really cool that IBF and the CEO thought enough of you and your work that they recommended that the new course take up your company's program based solely on your service that day (and, I suppose, the previous day for IBF). That's some testimonial, right there. Great job. And if you do wind up being the Caddie Master there, you can feel like you earned the right all yourself. Lord and Master of all that you survey. Way to go.

I do chuffing blather on. I'd better go now - the guys at work are looking at me funny as I write more on here than I do all day at work.

Thanks again for writing, Tom.
